The Me Scribbles
The Great Satan Head Collaboration
This collaboration should last for the next 7 weeks (or thereabouts). We were given boards to draw/paint/whatever/mark on, and we have to pass the board on to someone else every week. I made a devil's head for the first week, and my teacher added the dartboard the second week. I hope to show the progress of the board from week to week, and then the final product. Fun!
Take care.

AAHHHHHDOISOUNDLIKETOMARRAYA???
The thing about digital illustration is that, sometimes, you don't save your work to the correct location, and you have to start over.
I am, of course, referring to myself. I'm really mad at myself.
AND EVERYTHING I DRAW ENDS UP LOOKING LIKE A PENIS!!!
Sorry, it's late and I'm going a little crazy.
Take care.

What really didn't happen...
The beginnings of yet another midterm. The assignment, as written on our syllabus, was to "illustrate a cool dream you once had." I don't really remember my dreams, but the few I do remember are usually underwater. This one, however, is the cruel vision of my teacher. The initial sketches showed a tiny figure portaging a ship, floating in the sky, across a desert. Deeming that imagery boring/uninteresting, my teacher insisted I move the whole thing underwater.
It's not a big deal, but it's not my vision. At all.
These beginning stages are so hard to get through; it looks like shit and I want to give up.
The last dream I had was...David Ellefson was my gardener. It's weird because I live in an apartment and would have absolutely no use for a gardener.
Take care.

A familiar face...
There was a nifty young flapper named Jane
While out walking was caught in the rain
She ran, nearly flew
But, her complexion did too
And she arrived home exceedingly plain
The beginning of my midterm. I know it's a bit hard at this stage (and with the cropping), but hopefully, you can recognize the pop culture reference. The colors are a big hint.
Take care.

Something in the water
I am well aware that I have been posting WAY more than usual. But hey, I'm an art machine. It's like a love machine, but less satisfying.
Here's a retouch of my arms-and-hands-treasure-chest; not because I wanted to but because I was forced. I like how it turned out. Sometimes, it's good to be forced into doing things you don't want to do. I guess.
Name and little bit at the top from songs by Th' Legendary Shack Shakers; one of my favorite music groups. Southern gothic rock.
Take care.
