There is a blue one who can't accept the green one For living with a fat one trying to be a skinny one And different strokes for different folks And so on and so on and scooby dooby doo-bee Oh sha sha - we got to live together I am no better and neither are you
I really love Sly Stone. I admire his courage; his band was in their hey day in not-so-integrated times, but he wasn't afraid to call his mixed band his family. Also, he rocks.
I invented a lot on this one; the original ref photo was of him holding a knife to his face. His hair took forever and I'm not too sure I'm pleased with the end result, but I really do love this sketch.
I think my best drawings are on notebook paper, or on the back of some important document. I also think that my most interesting work comes out of my head when I should be doing something important/else. This was yet another doodle done during my tutor training workshops.
Inspired by ELO's Mr. Blue Sky.
It's not the first time I've drawn this fellow; he may make other appearances.
SCHOOL STARTS IN ONE WEEK DO NOT WANT AHHHHHH BUT THIS BLOG SHOULD BE UPDATED MORE FREQUENTLY NOW THAT I'M BEING FORCED TO DRAWWWWWW!!!
This is an affectionate self portrait that I've drawn a couple times now. I call her the Al Doll.
Sorry, I was thinking of John Entwhistle. Also, I thought the stitched mouth gave the doll a sort of morbid look, hence a zombie. I WILL ONLY WANT JOHN ENTWHISTLE'S BRAIN! NO ONE ELSE! This is one of my favorite drawings. I think it may be the best I've ever done.
