Never talk to strangers...

A comp sketch for a cover of Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita, a final project. Yet again, something very dear to my heart that the teacher managed to rape up the ass.

There's more to this drawing, obviously, but it's not really worth showing. I was very proud of the cat because I never draw animals. Begemot's design was based on a Main Coon, a very beautiful breed of cat. I know B's probably the classiest of all literary cats, but I always imagined him looking a bit mangy, as opposed to a sleek, short-haired breed.

I like it.

Take care.

Then the freaks and the geeks clapped in joyous agony...

I made so many mistakes when I put that first layer of color down. I did some damage control in class today. Hopefully, it won't get much more saturated than this (I'm trying to reference old photos...kind of like Travis Louie).

Here's my second cult piece: the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The lettering took me a phenomenal fucking amount of time to complete. And then I had to start over because it was slanted. Even now, I'm not satisfied with it.

The rest looks ok, though.

Take care.

I lie...

So, they're coming along nicely. I love the look of this so far, but the idea of covering it in glazes makes me nervous...

I DESPISE THIS FUCKING PLACE!

Take care.

FREAKS! FREAKS! FREAKS!

Crazy 4 Cult piece in progress. These lovely ladies are the sister/twin pinheads from Freaks!

Don't worry, this is going to be far more than just a graphite piece. You'll see...

Take care.

From smudges we are born...

Bits from my digi drawing and painting final. I don't care enough about the class to render these out (although I should). My "teacher" is a horrible man, and I wish him all the worst. Have you ever been placed in the hands of someone who is uninspiring? A good teacher will be critical of my work, and inspire me to be even better for the next critique. I don't get that from this guy. Therefore, he is a bad teacher.

I do love the feel of these, though. Anything I've learned about painting on the computer, I've learned from just doing it (as opposed to learning it in class). It's going very slow. Joe Walsh slow.

Take care.
